Beschrijving

This gentle collection is a prayer, or a hymn of gratitude to the Creator for the simple comforts, the small joys to be found in ranch life on the southwestern Saskatchewan prairie. It is all there: the grass, the horned larks, the sage, the coyote and the deer, the horses and the cattle, the weather and the pioneers. Bircham has sketched a world lived in nature, and examined its minutiae with a love close to reverence. Readers will be deeply touched by these poems.
