In this work the author presents the natal horoscope of the nineteenth-century Persian prince Asadullāh Mīrzā, offering both a transcription of the original Persian astrological text and a full English translation. The detailed commentary elucidates the astrological techniques of the time — houses, cusps, degree of rising and setting, lots, decans, and the influence of fixed stars in the Persian tradition. The book thus serves not only as a historical case study but also as a window into how astrology was practised in nineteenth-century Iran. Beyond the technical translation, the work situates the horoscope in its broader cultural and historical context: how astrologers in the Persian world calculated, interpreted, and applied natal charts; the terminology used; and how the cosmological-astrological worldview of the time shaped social and political understanding of individuals.
